The Joy of Dying
Why do people fear death? Fear of the unknown? We cling on to our loved ones? Things we hadn't done? Many reasons.
But to live is to die, and it should be one of the most exciting ultimate milestone in this present life. Birth, Life and Death can be spoken in the same breath; but we usually only embrace life and avoid death. This won't do. You are not being fair to yourself. You are shortchanging yourself.You are not getting the complete & full experience of life!
Your dad's sperm died the moment it penetrated your mom's egg. Your mom's egg died too. They ceased to exist in the form they were. But...WOW!..did they transform into something great or what!...their deaths created you! Their lives joined to be you!
Would our own personal death be in that same glorious instant? I don't know. But I won't let the uncertainty deprive me from enjoying my death. It would be the ultimate adventure!
