Respect

Nature lovers? Not all, but many self-proclaimed "nature lovers" invade natural areas during the weekends or holidays. Insensitive & uneducated about ecology and ways of nature; these nature lovers, sometimes busloads of them, leaves rubbish, wears out trails, tramples plants, frightens wildlife because of "love".

I am no lover of nature. I just respect her. I respect her so much that I prefer to leave her alone. I leave her alone to do her job. I know she provides me with food, fresh air, abundant water and many more services which I need and may never understand.

I remember once a Minister said that we have to have roads up on our highlands so that we can go see and enjoy the view; if not it would be a waste because what is the use of nature if we can see it? Aiyoh!!!!! Respect her please, sir!!!

So, the next time you proclaim yourself a nature lover; do you know enough to really love? Maybe you can start with respect first?
